Draíodóir Oz 2013

Ar an gCéadaoin 4ú agus Déardaoin 5ú Nollaig léirigh daltaí Ghaelscoil  Uí  Riada an ceoldráma cáiliúil  “ Draíodóir  Oz”.     Tar éis an cleachtadh ar fad agus an ullmhúcháín, bhí an oíche mhór tagtha agus bhailigh slua mór tuismitheoirí agus cairde i Halla na Scoile  agus iad ar bís chun an léiriú a fheiscint.  Bhí sceitimíní ar na daltaí ar fad agus iad á ngléasadh féin dá seans ar an ardán.

Bhí gach éinne faoi dhraíocht ag an taispeántas ar fad agus nuair a chan na daltaí ar fad ” Somewhere over the Rainbow ” mar finale , bhí bualadh bos ollmhór agus deireadh le oíche d’ár saoil do gach éinne a bhí páirteach sa dráma.

Tá buíochas mór tuillte ag na múinteoirí ar fad don obair ar fad a rinne siad agus don tacaíocht a thugadar do na daltaí óga ar an da oíche. Ní bheadh sé indéanta gan iad.  Buíochas speisialta le  Shirley McCarthy- Múinteoir Urlabhraíochta gaus Drámaíochta na scoile a chuir an dráma ar fad le chéile.

On Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December the pupils of Gaelscoil Uí Riada gave performances of  – “The Wizard of Oz” – the latest musical to be produced by the school.

All the preparations were complete , all the rehearsals done and all the costumes organised and at last the night of the performance had arrived. 

A huge crowd filled Halla na Scoile as parents , relatives and friends came along to see their children perform on stage and by the time all pupils in the school  sang “ Somewhere over the Rainbow ” as a finale, a sustained applause brought the curtain down on a night never to be forgotten by all those who took part.

Many thanks to all the teachers who did so much work in preparation for the show and for all the help they gave to the pupils before and on the nights of the show. The whole production would not be possible without their support.
