Feachtas Ealaíne Sa Scoil

Ón Nollaig ar aghaidh tá feachtas ealaíne ar siúl ag daltaí na scoile faoi stiúr Catherine Uí Mhainnín, ealaíontóir agus tuismitheoir sa scoil.

Is ar bhonn ranga atá an ealaín eagraithe agus theastaigh uainn go gcuirfeadh sé leis an iarratas don Bhrat Glas.

Da bhrí sin, shocraíomar go n úsáidfeadh na daltaí ábhair éagsúla athchúrsálta agus go ndéanfadh gach rang pictiúr don chlár fógraí ranga bunaithe ar téama don Bhrat Glas nó ar ghné de shaol na scoile.

Ta na hiarrachtaí ar fad nach mór críochnaithe anois agus iad ar taispeáint ar na fallaí timpeall na scoile – pictiúirí a léiríonn Drámaíocht, Ceol, Spórt, An Brat Glas, Foghlaim agus an Ghaeilge. Ná déan dearmad féachaint orthu nuair a thugann tú cuairt ar an scoil! Buíochas le Catherine , na múinteoirí agus go speisialta na daltaí mar tá na pictiúirí ar fad thar a bheith deas.

Since Christmas, pupils and teachers in the school have been involved in an Art Project under the guidance of Catherine Manning – an artist and a parent in the school.

The project is organised by class and the idea was to have some artwork to display as part of the schools application for the Green Flag.

Therefore it was decided that the pupils would use only recycled materials and that each class would create a piece of artwork for the class noticeboard on the theme of the Green Flag or some aspect of school life.

Most of the artwork is now complete and is on display around the school -artwork that features – Drama, Music, Sport, The Green Flag, Learning and Gaeilge -which is a big feature of life in school. Come in and have a look at the pictures when you are in the school! Many thanks to Catherine for all her advice and help and also to the teachers and especially the pupils for such beautiful work!! As the saying goes ” Ní neart go cur le chéile”
