Congratulations!

Each year pupils from the school take part in "Discover Cork : Schools History Project” , organised by Cllr Kieran McCarthy. Pupils from Gaelscoil Uí Riada feature regularly among the prize-winners also!

In 2016, Maria Ní Mhaothagáin , a pupil in Rang 4 at the time, won a prize for the best project overall that year!

“Lee – my journey to the Sea (featuring a fish and a frog).” was the title of the project and had the river itself telling its life-story. The adjudicator praised it highly as a piece of history and even suggested that it would make a great book!

Maria won the prize ” Best Creative Project” for this project also, and this was well deserved.
